Has primary responsibility for being our agency’s sales conduit to all assigned electrical contractors or other assigned accounts in our territory. The goal of this position is to increase our agency relationships as the premier supplier of lighting and lighting control products to the electrical contractor market and/or other accounts. Educating and presenting new products to contractors for projects and labor savings as well as follow-up on quoted projects.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or ample experience in lighting industry.
Experience:
Three to 5 years of contractor or distribution sales in the lighting industry preferred.
Position Competencies:
Team player with good people and problem solving skills.
Ability to partner with distribution, manufacturers and lighting suppliers to facilitate relationship building a plus.
Ideal candidate will be self-motivated with good time management skills; good values and personal character.
Excellent communications (written and verbal) skills required for building relationships with customers; ability to understand/learn our evolving market dynamics to ensure agency success.
Decision Making:
Determine customer priority and develop long term customer relationships. Use agency support services as appropriate for design build work.
